Although this bold portrayal of Jankowitz reflects the Renaissance-era oil paintings, it is in fact a photograph that has gone through several processes to mimic the look. According to the artist Fiumara, this was done deliberately for gentle irony. Through his medium and portrayal, Fiumara contrasts the magnificent 21 Nettleton house with the humble beginnings of its owner.
