This towering gateway acts as a sentinel to the hotel. Similarly to the driveway gate, the pedestrian gate also illustrates the shape of the sun radiating sunlight. These two gates form two parts of a whole, that were specially designed for 21 Nettleton hotel. As seen here, artist Conrad Hicks marries natural forms with human ideals, and subsequently his art balances measurement with organic forms. His works are hand-forged and he has merged traditional black-smithery with his own novel methods.
