This one-of-a-kind comb is the work of Jordanian multidisciplinary designer, Hamzeh Alfarahneh. It forms part of Alfarahneh’s Not-Just-A-Comb project that is part design, part outreach project in 2017. It was done in collaboration with NGOs in South Africa that works exclusively with women artisans. The notion behind the beaded combs was to ‘create meaningful objets d'art that speaks to our desire for beauty and connection’, and to bring the world together in creativity.
